Braulio Marino Juanjibioi Jansasoi was born in Southern Putumayo and comes from the Inga and Kamëntsá tribes. His father first gave him yagé at six months old, and by age fourteen they began regularly drinking the medicine together. Under the guidance of his mother and father he was put on the path of shamanism and continues to be guided by the spirit of his father toward helping humanity. The medicine has been his doorway into the great reality of life while leading three ceremonies per week for the past ten years.

Owner / Operator

Daniel Roldao is a South Arfrican native who visited Mocoa, Putumayo, Colombia in 2016 to attend yagé ceremonies. He immediately fell in love with the area and purchased land the following year with the idea of opening a yagé retreat. He is a professional sailboat captain by trade and has participated in hundreds of yagé ceremonies around the world. Daniel plays guitar, speaks three languages and is an active member of Mocoa’s Zarzal community.

Owner / Administrator

Maribel Rosero Pantoja was born and raised in the mountainous rainforests surrounding Mocoa. She is an expert of local flora and fauna. Currently, Mary studies psychology while playing a key role in Cloud Forest Yagé operations. She has been Daniel’s good friend for eight years since their meeting in 2017. Mary is an excellent chef, plays micro football and is extremely active hiking and exploring the trails of Putumayo.

Guest Relations

James Hayes first traveled to Mocoa in 2021 seeking an authentic ayahuasca experience. While initially planning to stay in Mocoa for one week, he was invited to live on Daniel’s property and continue working with the medicine. Since his initial trip, James has returned to Mocoa for six months every year to participate in yage ceremonies. He and Daniel became close friends and decided to pursue creating Cloud Forest Yagé together. James is an artist, musician and acts as the primary point of contact for guests.

Property Manager

Hugo Rodriguez was born in Cali, Colombia and came to live in Mocoa as a young child. He was raised in the Zarzal community and taught extensively about the various species of plants and animals native to the area. Hugo is a leader of community improvement activities within Zarzal. He is a loving father, trained salsa dancer, and plays football regularly.
